Olieve & Olie is a true local production success story making body care products from Australian ingredients in Australia.

The brand was born began in 2000, as a small 15 acre property on the banks of the Gunbower Creek, 50km west of Echuca. The owners, Andy & Jude Steele, who originally had farmland on King Island, planted 2000 olive trees. The climate and soil of the property was the perfect condition for growing olives.

In 2010, Andy & Jude sold their grove and moved to the Mornington Peninsula.  They still sourced their olive oil from their old grove, maintaining the connection and quality of all their products. Andy heads north every year to prune the old grove, and they have a great relationship with the new owners.

All Olieve and Olie products are hand made. On any given day you will find Jude in the factory mixing, pouring, measuring, bottling, labelling, and packing, with the help of her trusted team. 

Olieve and Olie do not test on animals and never use palm oil. 

Not only does the harvesting of palm oil kill the Orangutan's habitat, but it destroys forests and other wildlife. Even sustainable palm oil plantations must be cut down to harvest the oil. Harvesting olive oil, on the other hand, does not destroy trees or habitat. Not to mention that the oil Olieve and Olie use is grown locally, free from pesticides and harmful chemicals.
